Under-eye bags

Have you ever seen early in the morning a baggy-eyed, not-altogether-attractive stranger, when you see yourself in the mirror? Bags are caused when fluid collects in the skin under the eyes, it happens primarily when you lie flat for long periods, such as when you sleep at night.
The prone position redistributes the fluids toward your legs. At night, fluids are spread equally throughout the body, including the skin under your eyes, they can also can result from allergies and from irritating chemicals.

Here are some ideas of what you can do:
-Try putting a cool, wet tea bag on each eye for 15 minutes. The tannin in tea is an astringent, causing skin to tighten.

-Place thinly sliced cucumbers over each eye and let them sit for 15 minutes. The cool moisture of cucumbers helps relieve the swelling.

- Avoid products containing propylene glycol and the fragrances cinnamyl alcohol and cinnamaldehyde.

- Certain soaps, especially antibacterial ones, may cause irritation, try switching to a more organic brand to see if bags under your eyes disappear.

- Wash your face with plain water and use plain petroleum jelly to moisturize your face.

- If you eat very salty meals, it makes your body retain more water, this can cause fluid to collect under the skin beneath your eyes.

Cabbage soup

Cabbage Soup I originally learned about this soup as part of a 7 day diet, with my hormone problems and health problems quick fixes do not work for me, and I do not believe “miracle diets” are part of a healthy lifestyle, so I am not including the diet, I don’t have it anymore anyway, I am sure it’s easy to find if you want it. The best thing about this diet is the soup, it’s delicious, full of healthy fiber, vegetables and spices, keeps for several days in the refrigerator, and my kids even love it!! Ingredients: 1/2 head chopped cabbage 1 cup yellow or white onion, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 1 cup celery, chopped 1 cup carrots, sliced 1 large can stewed tomatoes, I use the ones with spices added cracked black pepper to taste garlic to taste other seasonings as desired, I use some basil, red peppers, whatever looks good, this is one of those things that it rarely is exactly the same thing twice hot water, 1-2 cups When you start putting vegetables in your stock pot they take up quite a bit of room. A trick I learned from my sister is to chop and add as you go, start with cabbage and pour your hot water over that right away to help it start to cook down. Heat on medium-high heat until boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer until vegetables are as tender as you like. That’s it. Your whole house will smell amazing. I like to use it as a pre-dinner soup, it has no protein so obviously you can’t eat just this, it will fill you up so you have less room for other stuff! REMOVING GALLSTONES NATURALLY... By: Dr. Lai Chiu Nan It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news. Dr. Lai is not charging for it, so we should make it free for everyone. Your reward is when someone, through your word of mouth, benefits from the regime. Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer. "Cancer is never the first illness," Dr. Lai points out. "Usually, there are a lot of other problems leading to cancer. In my research in China , I came across some materials which say that people with cancer usually have stones. We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few. One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area." So if you think you have gallstones, Dr. Lai offers the following method to remove them naturally. The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked. Regimen: 1. For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally. 2. On the sixth day, take no dinner. 3. At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water. 4. At 8 PM, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts. 5. At 10 PM, take half cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage. The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. "Usually they float," Chiu Nan notes. "You might want to count them. I have had people who passes 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. Very many." "Even if you don't have any symptom s of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean-up now and then. Foods that boost energy

Can Foods Boost Energy Levels? Persistent mild fatigue or a chronic lack of energy due to day-to-day stressors or hectic schedules can often be addressed with simple preventive steps. In addition to regular exercise, quality rest, and a supplement routine designed to promote energy, try these dietary tips for a natural energy boost: 1)Eat a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables (preferably organic) for their protective phytochemicals and micronutrients needed for optimal metabolism. 2)Eat modest meals. A large meal can trigger the body to release more insulin, resulting in low blood sugar levels and a fatigue-inducing slump. Eating smaller meals can help keep blood sugar levels steady. 3)Stay hydrated. Dehydration is a common cause of fatigue - drink purified water or other healthy liquids throughout the day. 4)Snack right. Choose healthy snacks that contain some protein, carbohydrates, and beneficial fats. Good options include a handful of unsalted nuts, fresh or dried fruit, plain yogurt, vegetable sticks, and whole grain bread or crackers. 5)Eat more fiber. Navy beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, and lentils are all rich in fiber, which slows the release of insulin and helps maintain a steady supply of energy.
